With a full-frame CMOS image sensor with 33.0 effective megapixels and the advanced BIONZ XR™ engine, the α7C II delivers up to 8 times more processing power than its predecessor, along with high-speed sensor readout, low noise, highly accurate color reproduction. Combined with the latest AE algorithm, the α7C II achieves consistent exposure control even in challenging shooting conditions.

A high-precision stabilizing unit with gyro sensors and optimised image stabilization algorithms correct up to 7.0 steps of camera shake, while compatible lenses with built-in stabilization combine to make framing easier with telephoto lenses.

The α7C II offers up to 4k 60p movie capture, while S-Cinetone provides a cinematic look straight out of camera. The lightweight body also makes it compatible for gimbal or drone-mounted shooting. In-camera 4:2:2 10-bit recording when using Long GOP or All-Intra compression makes it possible to color grade footage for more editing freedom. Active Mode enhanced image stabilization provides greater control and enhanced clarity in the final footage.

The α7C II features a powerful AI processing unit, capable of human, animal, bird, insect, car/train and airplane recognition. The AI processing unit enables more accurate recognition of subjects and recognition of a wider range of subject types, achieving greater accuracy in human eye and human movement recognition. Animal recognition also extends to the eyes of domestic pets like cats and dogs, as well as birds, even when their eyes may be obscured from view. Coupled with a persistent AF tracking system, the α7C II makes shooting easier, allowing you to focus on THE moments in your creative pursuits.

Transfer photos and videos to your smartphone easily with the Creators’ App mobile application, available on both iOS and Android. Connect to a PC or smartphone via USB to use the Alpha camera as a 4k webcam with Real-Time Recognition AF.
