The tally lamp on the EOS R5 Mark II indicates when video recording starts or stops. It lights up during recording, enabling remote status checks.

Burst Speeds

The EOS R5 Mark II can shoot up to 30 frames per second in electronic shutter.
Together with blackout-free shooting and silent shutter, it is perfect for photographing wildlife, wedding, sports and those once-in-a-lifetime moments.

The Pre-continuous Shooting function allows capturing up to 15 images even before the shutter is fully pressed. This is extremely useful when photographing subjects which are highly unpredictable, such as wildlife and sports. In addition, there is no limitation in terms of file format - RAW/C-RAW/HEIF/JPEG can be selected.

The new Action Priority AF can recognise distinctive actions1 in sports2 and focus on decisive moments. The camera analyses ball position, joint movements and presence of multiple subjects via deep learning. Focus is automatically switched to the person who is executing a specific action instantaneously, where previously, it was almost impossible for the photographer to change the AF frame instantly when the action happens within a fraction of a second.
