In-house tech making a large impact

FiiO has poured much effort into developing the JT7’s driver from the ground up, controlling every aspect from diaphragm R&D to the voice coil and magnetic circuit. Being totally developed in-house means guaranteed consistent, excellent sound quality. The generously sized planar driver allows you to indulge in an expansive soundstage and powerful, energetic bass.

* Unlike conventional dynamic or balanced armature drivers, the planar driver is powered by an electromagnetic force acting across the entire, lightweight and thin diaphragm surface. This ensures uniform force is applied across the entire diaphragm, virtually eliminating the sectional distortion common in dynamic drivers. The result is low distortion, superb transient performance, and a vast soundstage. While the complex manufacturing involved often makes planar technology more expensive, the sonic benefits are clear.

For a planar diaphragm to deliver its signature quick vibration and sensitive response, it must be exceptionally thin. The J7’s diaphragm measures just 3µm, enabling it to precisely capture minute changes in the electrical signal. The result is excellent transient response performance and brilliantly clear treble that will surely excite your ears.

F.E.S. (FIIO Elastic System)
Increased elasticity, For richer bass

The JT7 features the proprietary F.E.S. (FIIO Elastic System) design on the driver diaphragm, which incorporates multi-dimensional textures on that surface. These textures, similar to the surround ring on a dynamic driver, increase the diaphragm’s elasticity. Compared to typical planar drivers, this innovation allows for precise control over internal stress, allowing the driver to move even more freely without added distortion. The result is effortless, enhanced bass with a greater presence.
